Joe thornton retirement weekend

In 2024, the San Jose Sharks lifted a second banner to the rafters of the SAP Center to commemorate Joe “Jumbo Joe” Thornton’s number. His number has now joined Patrick Marleau’s, whose banner was lifted into the rafters two years ago. Photography is by Panayiota Good.

Macklin Celebrini was honored as NHL Rookie of the Month for his incredible performance in November 2024. Celebrini is the first Sharks player to receive Rookie of the Month honors since Tomáš Hertl in October 2013.

HOLIDAY SWEATER SHIRSEY GIVEAWAY

Throughout the season, the Sharks do free giveaway nights where the Sharks designers or artists in San Jose design giveaway items. I designed our fun holiday sweater shirsey giveaway. We ordered around 60,000 of these bad boys to give away to everyone who attended our December 21st game right before the start of the holiday season. Pictured is one of players Tomas Hertl modeling the shirsey and various shots of fans throughout the night!

Patrick marleau retirement weekend

I had the honor of designing the first ever San Jose HOF banner to be hung in the SAP Center rafters to honor Mr. San Jose Shark himself, Patrick Marleau. My design will be what is used as a template for all the future banners to come (looking at you Jumbo Joe Thornton). Additionally, it was used as the patch design for the game that evening.

I also designed the pamphlet given to those who attended his retirement ceremony.

sharks retro lunchbox giveaway

Throughout the season, the Sharks do free giveaway nights where the Sharks designers or artists in San Jose design giveaway items. I designed a retro lunchbox for our giveaway night on October 29th (thus the Halloween costumes).
